2. What personal information we collect
When you enter the Shalina Healthcare (PTY) Ltd – “Win a Car” Competition competition we collect: full name, telephone number, email address, and invoice number (where applicable). We may also collect limited verification information if required to confirm identity when awarding the prize.

3. Why we collect it (purpose) and legal basis
We collect and process your personal information to administer the competition, verify entries, contact the winner(s), deliver the prize, and comply with any legal obligations. The legal basis for processing is your consent (you agree to these terms when you enter) and, where necessary, our legitimate business interest in running and auditing the competition. If we later want to use your details for marketing, we will ask your separate and explicit consent.

4. Recipients / third parties
We may share your personal information with: (a) service providers and processors we engage to run the competition (e.g., fulfilment houses, competition/marketing platform providers, verification providers); and (b) professional advisers, auditors or as required by law. All processors must contractually agree to keep your information secure and only process it according to our instructions.

5. International transfers
If we transfer your personal information outside South Africa we will ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., contracts, equivalent protection) are in place. You may request details of any transfer.

6. How long we keep your personal information
We will retain competition entry data only for as long as necessary to administer the competition, confirm winners and fulfil prizes, plus [6 months] afterwards for dispute resolution and record-keeping purposes, unless a longer retention is required by law or necessary for fraud prevention. Under POPIA you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; request correction or deletion of inaccurate/incomplete data; object to processing for direct marketing; and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (www.inforegulator.org.za). 8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information (access controls, encryption where appropriate, restricted access). However, no internet transmission is 100% secure — we will promptly notify affected individuals and the Information Regulator if a breach occurs that creates a risk of harm.

9. Provision of personal information
Providing personal information is voluntary, however we cannot enter you into the competition unless required fields (name, email and/or phone) are provided. If you do not provide the required information, you will not be able to participate.

10. Marketing
We will only send marketing messages if you have given explicit consent. You may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting admin.sa@shalina.com.

11. Children
The competition is open only to persons aged 18 years or older and a resident of South Africa. If we learn we have collected personal information of a child without consent from a parent/guardian, we will delete it.

12. Changes to this Notice
We may update this notice. We will publish the updated notice on our website and indicate the effective date.
